T H E . G U I D E L I N E S
Before anything else, EVERYONE MUST read the guidelines!

GENERAL RULES
=======================================================================
¤ You only can have humans, elves, and dwarves to role play, but that human can own animals such as dragons, unicorns, etc. and role play them, but you must maninly role play the human. (The other animals are sub-characters)
¤ Respect the staff and other members.
¤ OOC [out of character] fights will not be tolerated.
¤ Swearing is only allowed when posting in character.
¤ You must read the rules!
¤ Reading all announcements from the staff is required, for they may be very important.
¤ Signature images, as well as any other images posted on the site, must have a width no greater than 600 pixels.
¤ After creating a thread for your character in the Joining board, you MUST wait to be accepted by a staff member before beginning.
¤ There is only ONE character allowed per account. [Yes, this means that you will need to make seperate accounts for your characters. We're sorry if this causes any problems, but it is best for the site's organization. If you have many characters, we recommend stating what other characters you play in your signature. Children/baby creatures may stay on the same account as their mothers until they turn 1 year old.]
¤ You may have as many characters/accounts as you wish.
¤ You must not be gone from the site for over a month, unless you have stated that you will be away. [Activity checks are held each month. Any account that has not been posted with in a month will be deleted. This means that you must post with all of your accounts.]
¤ Posting in character for each of your characters atleast once a week is required if you want your characters to keep their positions!
¤ Each in character post MUST contain 10 sentences or more. [If you are a beginner, don't worry. You will not be punished, but we recommend enrolling in our Role Play Academy.]
¤ Strength points are accumulated when you post. The more you have, the stronger your character is.
¤ Wisdom points are awarded from staff members for things you can do out of character. These include helping another member, winning a contest, or simply being friendly to others. Wisdom points contribute to the wisdom and intelligence of your characters.
¤ One real life month is equal to one season in Empire.
¤ All characters age in the summer.

HIGH ROYAL RULES
=======================================================================
¤ High Royals are not radomly choosen. We will either have a poll on who shall be a royal, or you will be personal messaged by a staff member saying you have been choosen as a high royal.
¤ If you wish to be king, you must have your character win over the heart of Queen Cleopatra

PET RULES
=======================================================================
¤ Characters such as in elves, humans, and dwarves may own pets such as dragons, unicorns, etc.
¤ You must take care of your pet(s) or else they will be taken away from you and put in the adoption center.
¤ You only may start out with one pet, and you can purchase an extra one or more from the pet shop.
¤ Please view the Dragon Rules section to read the special section on dragons and how they work.
¤ You have the choice to sell your pet, and if you do, the price you may sell it for depends on the value of the spieces and how well trained they are.
¤ If you have pets such as gryphons, dragons, and other rideable pets, you may ride them into battles, fights, etc.
¤ You may choose whether you have a pet or not.

CHALLENGE RULES
=======================================================================
¤ All fights are played out in the Ohtar Battle Grounds
¤ Male dwarves, humans, and elves can challenge for ranks such as king, chief, etc.
¤ Males may also challenge for a lover.
¤ Challenging the Kings and Queens is allowed.
¤ Each fighter is allowed to have 5 hits and 2 dodges.
¤ No powerplaying!
¤ No one can die [unless the member accepts.]
¤ When challenging someone, if they do not reply to your post in one week, you automatically win. [Unless the member is away.]
¤ The administrators decide who wins. Both strength and wisdom points play a small roll, but the fight is mostly judged by the skill of the roleplayers.

INTIMACY AND BABY RULES
=======================================================================
¤ Intamacy is allowed, but you must post 'PG-13' or 'R' in the title to warn other members.
¤ If you plan to have intamacy that exceeds kissing and such, then it is preferred that you do it in your home where a password is required, therefor no unwanted intruders may read it.
¤ For the sake of the forum, please do not get too intimate in public boards
¤ You cannot choose whether or not you become pregnant; You must message a staff and say that you and another character are going to or have been intimate and you wish to have a child. Once the admin reads the posts they decide whether or not you become pregnant.
¤ A child is your responsibility. If it is not cared for, it will be sent to an adoption agency.
