This guide will move you through the different ways to play the game. It provides a basic understanding of Empire's rules and objectives. If you are new to role-playing, or simply are stuck, we hope this guide will help. Happy reading!
Q: I just joined. What do I do now? A: For anything, the first step is to read any rules provided. They will give you an understanding of the game.
Q: I filled out the form! Why haven't I been accepted yet? A: Please be patient. The staff try their hardest to get to you as quickly as they can. Remember, the staff have many others to accept and they have their real lives to keep them busy. If there is a serious problem, feel free to send a PM to one of them.
Q: What are strength points, and what are they for? A: Strength points accumulate as you post. You earn two point five strength points for each post you make. These points show how strong your character is. The more posts you make, the stronger it gets! Strength points play a part in fighting, as well as any other situation when roleplaying your character.
Q: What are wisdom points, what are they for, and how do I get them? A: Unlike strength points, you do not automatically recieve wisdom points. Wisdom points are awarded by staff members for doing a number of things in the out of character boards. The points may be used to show the wisdom and intelligence of your character, as well as showing everyone else that you did something good! Some ways to recieve wisdom points: having exceptional roleplaying skills, helping another member with something, being friendly to everyone overall, being extremely active, winning a contest, referring a friend to the site, and helping the forum any way you can! There are many other ways to recieve wisdom points, these are just a few of them! If at any point you would like to divide your wisdom points throughout your seperate accounts, message Cleopatra.
Q: How long does it take for the egg to hatch? A: It can very depending on the owner. For some, it will hatch in about two or three real days; For others, it may last up to a week or two.
Q: How do I train my hatchling? A: You could pay a dragon trainer to train your dragon, or you could save some coins and do it yourself. You must first wait until it uses instinct to learn the ability to fly, and it will also learn how to hunt on it's own, but to speed up the process, you can train it to hunt just like you would with a real life dog.
Q: How long does my dragon live? A: Your dragon is immortal and will not die unless their rider (you) dies, then they loose their immortality, and are ablet to die on any normal circumstances.
Q: Can I breed my dragon to another dragon, or have my two dragons mate to produce eggs? A: Yes, but the chances of having a succesful mating ritual with two dragons are quite slim. Please message me for further details.
Q: Where do I go first? A: The main real estate agent would be Gilly's Real Estate in Felaska. There, you can buy a home in any location that allows residential plots of land for a rather low price.
Q: Can I add on to my currently owned home? A: Yes, but it would be wise to get some nails and wooden planks in order to build everything.
Q: Can I sell my home? A: Yes. You may choose a price to sell it to another character if you wish, or simply sell it back to the real estate agent.
Q: Can I make it so only me and the members of my characters family can gain access to their home? A: Yes; it is default that at anytime anyone purchases a home, that the person will be asked to send me or another administrator a password to the board so that only members of the family know the password.
Q: I forgot the password to my house... A: Not a problem at all! Simply message a staff, and we will fetch it for you -- no charge. ^^

Before anything else, EVERYONE MUST read the guidelines!
======================================================================= GENERAL RULES =======================================================================
¤ You only can have humans, elves, and dwarves to role play, but that human can own animals such as dragons, unicorns, etc. and role play them, but you must maninly role play the human. (The other animals are sub-characters) ¤ Respect the staff and other members. ¤ OOC [out of character] fights will not be tolerated. ¤ Swearing is only allowed when posting in character. ¤ You must read the rules! ¤ Reading all announcements from the staff is required, for they may be very important. ¤ Signature images, as well as any other images posted on the site, must have a width no greater than 600 pixels. ¤ After creating a thread for your character in the Joining board, you MUST wait to be accepted by a staff member before beginning. ¤ There is only ONE character allowed per account. [Yes, this means that you will need to make seperate accounts for your characters. We're sorry if this causes any problems, but it is best for the site's organization. If you have many characters, we recommend stating what other characters you play in your signature. Children/baby creatures may stay on the same account as their mothers until they turn 1 year old.] ¤ You may have as many characters/accounts as you wish. ¤ You must not be gone from the site for over a month, unless you have stated that you will be away. [Activity checks are held each month. Any account that has not been posted with in a month will be deleted. This means that you must post with all of your accounts.] ¤ Posting in character for each of your characters atleast once a week is required if you want your characters to keep their positions! ¤ Each in character post MUST contain 10 sentences or more. [If you are a beginner, don't worry. You will not be punished, but we recommend enrolling in our Role Play Academy.] ¤ Strength points are accumulated when you post. ¤ High Royals are not radomly choosen. We will either have a poll on who shall be a royal, or you will be personal messaged by a staff member saying you have been choosen as a high royal. ¤ If you wish to be king, you must have your character win over the heart of Queen Cleopatra

¤ Characters such as in elves, humans, and dwarves may own pets such as dragons, unicorns, etc. ¤ You must take care of your pet(s) or else they will be taken away from you and put in the adoption center. ¤ You only may start out with one pet, and you can purchase an extra one or more from the pet shop. ¤ Please view the Dragon Rules section to read the special section on dragons and how they work. ¤ You have the choice to sell your pet, and if you do, the price you may sell it for depends on the value of the spieces and how well trained they are. ¤ If you have pets such as gryphons, dragons, and other rideable pets, you may ride them into battles, fights, etc. ¤ You may choose whether you have a pet or not.
¤ All fights are played out in the Ohtar Battle Grounds ¤ Male dwarves, humans, and elves can challenge for ranks such as king, chief, etc. ¤ Males may also challenge for a lover. ¤ Challenging the Kings and Queens is allowed. ¤ Each fighter is allowed to have 5 hits and 2 dodges. ¤ No powerplaying! ¤ No one can die [unless the member accepts.] ¤ When challenging someone, if they do not reply to your post in one week, you automatically win. [Unless the member is away.] ¤ The administrators decide who wins. Both strength and wisdom points play a small roll, but the fight is mostly judged by the skill of the roleplayers.
======================================================================= INTIMACY AND BABY RULES =======================================================================
¤ Intamacy is allowed, but you must post 'PG-13' or 'R' in the title to warn other members. ¤ If you plan to have intamacy that exceeds kissing and such, then it is preferred that you do it in your home where a password is required, therefor no unwanted intruders may read it. ¤ For the sake of the forum, please do not get too intimate in public boards ¤ You cannot choose whether or not you become pregnant; You must message a staff and say that you and another character are going to or have been intimate and you wish to have a child. Once the admin reads the posts they decide whether or not you become pregnant. ¤ A child is your responsibility. If it is not cared for, it will be sent to an adoption agency.
